Santhush says that the BNS clothing brand is to reflect the same values as the music of Bathiya & Santhush - energy, pride, self-confidence and tenacity. 'Sri Lankan youth have the potential to achieve things beyond their own limits. But I feel our self-confidence is shrouded by a slight inferiority complex. This is partly due to the political and economic climate of our country. The BNS brand is all about the self-belief to achieve anything. It's about drawing strength and confidence from your cultural identity and living life to the full. Hence the slogan 'Live it' 'says Santhush.

Bathiya & Santhush are also employing the talents of their fellow band members Randhir and Ashanthi to manage the promotions wing of the BNS label. Randhir currently heads the label's creative department for design & graphics. 'This is the kind of stuff I live for' he smiles 'There's nothing that gets me out of bed in the morning, better than the job of having to conceptualize a brand and construct a design footprint around it'.

According to Bathiya & Santhush, the BNS apparel range will be launched towards the beginning of May 2006. Given their prowess at innovation, one only can wonder what creative delights the duo will bring to the Sri Lankan designer clothing industry.
